Dress Guidelines

B.A.E.S.S. strives to provide an environment that is both professional and comfortable for our employees.  B.A.E.S.S. permits casual business wear; however, employees are expected to present themselves in a neat, clean, professional manner at all times.

Purpose

  • To project a professional appearance to our customers.
  • To promote safety in the workplace.
  • To avoid offending our customers or fellow employees.

Employee Responsibilities

  • Use good judgment when selecting casual business attire.
  • Employees who are dressed inappropriately may be asked to return home to select more
    appropriate attire.
  • Employees should be aware of their professional appearance at all times.  When meeting with customers and/or external parties, employees should dress in accordance with the expectations of those individuals.

Manager Responsibilities

  • Managers
    should set an example of professional appearance.
  • Immediately inform employees if they are dressed inappropriately and, if necessary, send them home.
  • Utilize the corrective action process, as shown in the Quality Service Manual, if
    necessary.

Common Sense Rules

The following items are never appropriate at work:

  • Short shorts/skirts
  • Halter/tube tops
  • Inappropriate logos on clothing
  • “Spandex”
  • Bare feet
  • Flip-flops
  • Revealing clothing
  • “Sweat” suits
  • T-shirts
  • Any jeans should be business casual (dark in color, no holes, etc.)
