B.A.E.S.S. makes electronic mail and voice mail available to employees. These corporate assets are critical components of the B.A.E.S.S. communication system and are expected to be used in a responsible manner. B.A.E.S.S. reserves the right to monitor all e-mail and voice mail messages. Employees who violate this policy are subject to corrective action, up to and including termination.
Purpose
- To allow for effective, confidential and accurate communication with inside and outside business partners.
- To help foster an environment free from harassment.
Employee Responsibilities
- Do not expect that your e-mail or voice mail is private.
- Do not allow your personal use of e-mail or voice mail to interfere or conflict with business activity.
- Maintain the security of your accounts and passwords.
- Don’t display or transmit images, sounds, or messages which are sexually oriented or could make others uncomfortable.
- Use all corporate resources for business use only. Sending chain letters, sending confidential messages to non-B.A.E.S.S. employees, and solicitation is prohibited.
Manager Responsibilities
- Inform employees of their e-mail and voice mail privileges and instruct employees how to properly use these privileges.
- Review and monitor all e-mail and voice mail, as appropriate.
- Issue corrective action, up to and including termination, for violation of this policy.
