Solicitation and Distribution

B.A.E.S.S. prohibits the solicitation of employees and the distribution of non-business materials in work areas and during working time.  Company bulletin boards, internal directories, interoffice mail, e-mail and other company resources are to be used only for business purposes.

Purpose

  • To avoid disruption of business activity.
  • To ensure that employees are not made to feel obligated or pressured by solicitation and/or distribution at work.
  • To ensure non-employees do not solicit or distribute written materials on B.A.E.S.S. property at any time.

Employee Responsibilities

  • Employees are responsible for understanding this policy.
  • Refer to executive any request from an employee or outside organization to sell merchandise, solicit contributions, or distribute materials.

Manager Responsibilities

  • Monitor work areas for unauthorized distributions or solicitations.  Any unapproved materials should be removed from the work areas and corrective action may be initiated.

Executive Responsibilities

  • Review any requests for approval of solicitation or distribution of non-business materials and quickly approve or disapprove such requests.
