Vacation

Paid vacation leave is provided each calendar year to regular full-time employees based on the length of service with B.A.E.S.S. Employees accrue vacation time for each full month of service, beginning with the first day of employment, equal to five (5) full days for each six (6) months of service and are entitled to use vacation time after it is earned.  At the end of five (5) full years of service, regular full time employees will accrue seven and one half (7½) days for each six (6) months of service and at the end of ten (10) years of service will accrue at the rate of ten (10) days for each six (6) months of service.

Purpose

  • To provide eligible B.A.E.S.S. employees with time off each year to relax and concentrate on personal interests, while balancing company needs.
  • To attract and retain quality employees.

Eligibility:  Regular Full-time Employees.  The first day of employment

Employee Responsibilities

  • Eligible employees are responsible for obtaining approval, by submitting a request for time-off form to his/her manager for approval in advance of his/her planned vacation.
  • Review the time-off data provided by our payroll service for accuracy.

Manager Responsibilities

  • Ask eligible employees to submit vacation requests in advance.
  • Approve vacation requests after reviewing business commitments.  Managers may deny vacation leave due to certain business requirements.
  • Encourage employees to schedule vacations during the calendar year and encourage employees to take the proper amount of vacation time.
  • Review the time-off data provided by our payroll service for accuracy.

Executive Responsibilities

  • Collect time-off data and provide managers with the information necessary to manage time-off.
